A set of baby twins has sent the internet into a frenzy after their mum captured the heartwarming moment they noticed each other.

“My twin boys discovering each other for the first time,” Meagan Garr wrote on the TikTok video of her four-month-old sons Cooper and Olsen.

The pair were lying next to each other when they locked eyes, babbling and laughing together while touching their arms.

“I have a friend whose twins are six months old and she told me, ‘They just noticed each other.’ I was like, ‘That’s a milestone – what?'” Garr said.

The twins already knew who their older brothers Jackson, six, and Lucas, three, were, having reacted to them before.

Garr says they hadn’t noticed each other before the video was filmed: “It’s sort of like, ‘You’re my arm, you’re always there.”

At the time, Garr was trying to capture the pair smiling and looked up from her phone just in time to capture their interaction.

“It was a candid moment, which made my heart so happy,” she said.

Garr revealed she had wanted to be a twin mum for quite some time: “When I was five, I told my mum, ‘I’m going to have twin boys when I grow up’.”

“Then I had my first baby and said, ‘Just kidding, one is really hard’,” she joked.

Despite twins not running in their family, when Garr told her oldest son she was expecting, he said, “I want two babies,” and he got what he wanted.

Garr looks forward to her twins spending more months together
