Auction expert Andrew Aldridge said the menu included oysters, beef, and wild duck and was served for dinner on April 11, 1912. The menu surface is decorated with red White Star Line bunting, but the original gold-plated words have faded significantly. According to Mr. Andrew Aldridge, the menu was found in the photo album of the late Canadian historian Len Stephenson. Although the content is partly blurred due to water damage, this is believed to be the only surviving copy of the April 11 dinner menu on the Titanic’s first class cabin.

Also on November 11, Henry Aldridge & Son successfully auctioned two other items related to the Titanic, which sank in 1912, killing more than 1,500 people. Accordingly, the Swiss pocket watch found on passenger Sinai Kantor’s body and the striped blanket used in the rescue operation were sold for 97,000 pounds and 96,000 pounds, respectively.
