Among the big action franchises in Hollywood, The Fast and The Furious has held its place as one of the favorites among hardcore action fans. The film series has entered its 10th installment with Fast X due to release this year. The films also saw many huge action stars featured in the different installments namely Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, and Helen Mirren.
The popularity of the movies also gave rise to a spin-off in 2019, with the buddy action comedy The Fast and The Furious: Hobbs and Shaw. The film had a stellar star cast of Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby, and Helen Mirren. In the film, the unlikely pairing of Johnson and Statham joins Vanessa Kirby to take down a cybernetically enhanced terrorist played by Elba who is threatening the world with a deadly virus. While the movie was appreciated by a cross-section of fans, the more significant statistic involved the money that the stars made from this film.
