In just under an hour the Indiana Fever will face off against the Las Vegas Aces in a game that will pit two former Iowa Hawkeyes against each other.

No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark will meet former Hawkeyes teammate Kate Martin on the court for a highly-anticipated matchup. Before the two share the court in opposition, though, they shared it in friendship before the game tipped off.

Clark and Martin were both spotted on the floor sharing a laugh before their contest on Tuesday night.

The former teammates chatted it up for a few minutes during the pregame festivities before going their separate ways to prepare for a major showdown.

Ahead of today’s game, Martin revealed that she and Clark share a pregame tradition. “We always send each other photos like ‘Wait, do you like this outfit?'” Martin said.

“That’s a fun little piece about the WNBA. We were both nervous (at the beginning of the season) like, ‘What are we going to wear? We always just wear sweatpants!'”

The first meeting between these two teams didn’t go too well for the Fever, who went down in a 99-80 loss.

Will this meeting be different?
