KKFI radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan was the victim of a shooting at the victory parade of the Kansas City Chiefs football team, of which her new boyfriend was a member.

The singer made two donations worth $50,000 and wrote: “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences for your great loss. Love, Taylor Swift.”

Currently, the support fund has received more than 173,000 USD in donations, far exceeding the initial goal of donating 75,000 USD. Mother of two children, Lisa Lopez-Galvan, was the only person killed in the shooting at the victory parade of the Kansas City Chiefs (USA) football team that took place on February 14.

The tragedy occurred after the Kansas City Chiefs team won the final match in the Super Bowl.

DJ Lisa Lopez- Galvan, her husband and two children took to the streets to attend the Kansas City Chiefs football team’s victory parade with millions of fans. Near the end of the parade, multiple shots rang out in Union Station, near where Chiefs players and fans gathered to celebrate.

Lisa Lopez-Galvan (44 years old) was shot in the stomach. This shocking shooting also injured 21 people, including 11 children. Her husband and two children were also injured.

Police arrested two suspects. According to Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves the shooting “was not related to terrorism or domestic violent extremism”, was not directed at the parade itself and “appeared to be a dispute between a number of people and ended with gunfire”.

Kansas City leaders said in a statement that they were “truly saddened by the senseless act of violence.”

It is the latest US sports celebration to end in gun violence, following last year’s shooting that injured several people in downtown Denver after the Nuggets won the NBA championship
