The rivalry continues between the WNBA’s favorite rookies

Angel Reese

Angel Reese has had enough of the favoritism that, according to her, Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever has received since her arrival in the WNBA. Some call it jealousy, others say it’s just fierce competitiveness. But one thing is clear: both players are determined to be the best in the league.

As usual, Angel isn’t shy about speaking her mind. After a crushing loss for her and the Chicago Sky, Reese didn’t hesitate to blast the officiating and call out her rival for what she sees as preferential treatment.

During the game, Reese received a flagrant-one foul after missing a block and following through, hitting Caitlin in the head with her arm and sending her to the floor. Although Angel wasn’t ejected, the foul was deemed excessive.

Reese argued that after reviewing the play, it shouldn’t have been considered a foul since her moves were natural basketball movements. She claimed that the referees favor certain players. With both rookies’ careers blossoming simultaneously, it’s no surprise that their rivalry is heating up.

Reese is likely frustrated by having to hold back her criticisms and focus on playing well to finally defeat the Indiana Fever, as the Chicago Sky has come up short in both of their matchups so far.
