Rapper Diddy was repeatedly sued by two women for sexual assault in the 1990s with the same method of using alcohol mixed with stimulants.
On May 23, April Lampros announced a lawsuit against Diddy for allegedly drugging and raping her multiple times, starting when she was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in the 1990s.
In the lawsuit, April said Diddy offered to be her fashion industry consultant when the two first met in 1995. After a night out at a bar, April accused the rapper of getting her drunk and taking her back to the living room. hotel for sexual assault. April said she was still conscious when Diddy abused her but could not defend herself. She woke up the next morning “naked, in pain and confused,” the lawsuit states.
For months afterward, April didn’t hear from Diddy until the rapper reached out again and invited her to attend music industry VIP events. The female student listened to Diddy and decided to give him a second chance.
While getting into Diddy’s car in the garage to go to dinner, April said she was forced by the singer to perform oral sex. The lawsuit claims a parking lot attendant witnessed the assault but did nothing.
After that incident, April refused further invitations, causing Diddy to call her indignantly and threaten to put her on the entertainment industry’s blacklist. She described his behavior as that of a “bandit”.
In 1996, April said Diddy ordered her to his apartment, forced her to take ecstasy, and forced her to have sex with model Kim Porter, then Diddy’s girlfriend. April accused the male rapper of continuing to rape her that day. In 1998, the two broke off their relationship.
In addition to April, on May 22, Diddy was also sued by former model Crystal McKinney with the same allegations. Crystal accused the male rapper of drugging and raping her at his New York recording studio in 2003 when she was 22 years old. After the incident, Crystal suspected that Diddy intentionally eliminated her from the industry, causing her career to decline, and attempted suicide in 2004.
Since November 2023, Diddy faces four lawsuits for rape, sexual misconduct and other charges, including a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura.
Last week, CNN posted a video of Diddy beating Cassie in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. The rapper later apologized and said he would take full responsibility for his actions.
In April, federal agents raided Diddy’s two mansions in California and Florida to investigate sex trafficking allegations. The rapper has not been charged with any crime and denies the allegations.
Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, founded the Bad Boy record label in 1993, contributing to making hip hop a popular global brand. The male rapper has many other stage names such as Puff Daddy and P Diddy, and has signed contracts and collaborated on music production with names such as Usher, Lil’ Kim, TLC, Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. The male rapper has won three Grammy awards.
Over the decades, Diddy amassed a huge fortune, especially thanks to the wine business. In 2022, Diddy’s net worth reached about $1 billion, according to Forbes
