SPORTS analyst Kay Adams got into a heated debate with a fan over Patrick Mahomes on X, formerly known as Twitter earlier today.

The Up & Adams host posted a video titled “It’s almost impossible for a QB to have success without a top 10-ish defense.”

During the video, Adams talks about how Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert has great offensive numbers but his team has no success.

Adams said that Herbert’s former teammate Chris Harris Jr. blamed the lack of success on the QB not having a top-10 defense.

The former Good Morning Football host then posted a picture of QBs and their average scoring defense rank during their career as starters.

Tom Brady sat at number one while Justin Herbert sat at number 28 and last year’s Super Bowl-winning QB Patrick Mahomes sat at number seven.

“We lose sight of the fact these quarterbacks don’t win games by themselves, it’s almost impossible to find a quarterback without the support of his defense being top 10, 11, 12,” Adams said.

But one fan wasn’t buying Adams’ thoughts on the topic and slammed her opinion.

“Patrick Mahomes had the 24th-ranked defense in 2018 and it took an overtime loss to Tom Brady to keep him out of the Super Bowl in his first year as a starter we gotta stop with all these excuses for Herbert,” argued the fan.

But Adams was quick to respond by writing, “Mahomes already might be one of the top 3 QBs ever. ‘Mahomes did it’ is not a reason to discredit every other QB.”

“ALSO—- They lost that game because of the defense (Dee Ford jumping offsides).

“They went 1-1 in the playoffs that year BECAUSE defense bit them. Then they brought spags (and defensive talent) in & Mahomes is 14-2 in the playoffs since. Top 10 defenses in 4 of the 5 years,” Adams commented.

Adams shares her takes on multiple sports during her daily FanDuel TV show.

Last week, Adams shared her predictions for second-year New York Jets defensive end Will McDonald IV.

Adams praised Mcdonald IV and listed him as one of her top three defensive breakouts during a segment called You Me & Top 3.

The 38-year-old mentioned that the defensive end saw “limited action” and still managed to secure three sacks last season.

“[McDonald’s] going to have more opportunities to show off the freakish talent that made him a first-round pick out of Iowa State,” Adams said.

Kay’s ‘wedding dress’

KAY Adams took her show on the road to the Kentucky Derby this year.

And she left her fans amazed with her choice of outfit at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

Adams wore a white dress with a matching headband and yellow high heels.

The former Good Morning Football host introduced viewers to the location and revealed the upcoming guests.

But fans were more enamored with Adams’ stunning attire.

“You look gorgeous as always,” one commented.

“Kay you look amazing,” a second wrote.

“You’re so beautiful in white my goodness,” a third stated.

“Mark my words [and] you can fight me.”

Mcdonald IV was selected by the Jets as the 15th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Adams was previously a staple on the NFL Network show Good Morning Football.

The former host announced her official departure from Good Morning Football on May 12, 2022, after a six-year run.

Adams hosted the NFL show since its 2016 debut along with Peter Schrager, Nate Burleson, and Kyle Brandt.
