Fans have been amused by Prince William’s comments during a sporting event visit with Princess Kate in 2015. This comes after footage of the couple’s interactions with a British sports star, which had previously been deleted, was rediscovered on TikTok.

In April, the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their thirteenth wedding anniversary. They first met during their college years and became engaged in 2010. The couple has three children: Princess Charlotte, who is nine years old; Prince George, who is ten years old; and Prince Louis, who is six years old.

Following Kate’s decision to withdraw from public view while struggling with her health, the family has been under increased public scrutiny since the beginning of the year. After an operation in January, Kate announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was currently undergoing “preventative chemotherapy.

There was a span of two months between Kate’s surgery and her declaration, during which time rumors began to swirl concerning her health, whereabouts, and marriage. In the absence of regular fresh appearances, supporters have turned to social media to share highlights and favorite moments from the royals’ past activities. Although this has diminished, followers have nonetheless continued to use social media to provide updates.

One such post, published to TikTok by the user @helensmccrory, highlighted the moment when Prince William and Kate Middleton traveled to Portsmouth, a naval city in southern England, in 2015 to meet sailors competing in the British leg of the America’s Cup World Series sailing contest.

A significant number of viewers have expressed admiration for what appears to be the prince’s protectiveness toward his wife, as evidenced by the video’s more than 209,000 views and 19,000 likes. The royal couple had the opportunity to spend time with Sir Ben Ainslie, a four-time Olympic sailing gold medalist. During their visit, Sir Ben Ainslie shared insights into the race and the efforts of the British team. The video’s caption read, “He’s so silly,” as noted by the poster.

The Olympian was praised by other users, with one commenting, “That’s Sir Ben Ainslie and he’s potentially one of the most handsome men to walk Britain.” Other users expressed their enthusiasm for Olympic athletes.

Ainslie has been a guest at official events attended by Kate and William over the course of their relationship. The princess participated in a friendly Commonwealth race with his crew in 2022 while they were in Portsmouth. The race was held during their stay.

In 2019, the royal family, known for their interest in sailing, initiated the King’s Cup, a competition held off the shore of the Isle of Wight, located in southern England.

The event was organized to raise funds for the various patronages of the royal family, with each royal participating as a member of a competing crew. Prince William’s team finished ahead of Princess Kate’s team, which was disqualified due to a false start. Despite their efforts, neither William nor Kate won the race, which was ultimately claimed by the crew led by television personality Bear Grylls.

Buckingham Palace stated at the time that the royal couple “hoped” the race would become an annual event on their calendar. However, it is likely that the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted these plans, as no additional races have taken place since.
