They may be enemies away from this one-off showpiece, but Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were certainly singing from the same hymn sheet in the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday night.
Clark and Reese, who are battling it out for this year’s Rookie of the Year award, put their rivalry to one side and combined to great effect in the annual women’s basketball showpiece at Footprint Center.

In the fourth quarter of the game, Clark went on a mazy run before looking up and spotting her teammate in acres of space.
She then dropped a dime into the path of Reese, who coolly made the bucket from close range to increase Team WNBA’s lead on the night.
After linking up brilliantly, the duo produced an iconic image by sharing a high-five before continuing with the game.

Before they connected on the court, Reese was asked by the ESPN broadcast team during Saturday’s game about how much she was enjoying playing with Clark.

‘It’s so cool, when she gets the ball I’m running looking for the ball because I know she’s gonna throw it,’ she said while sat on the bench.
‘She’s been great to play with. Hopefully in four years we’ll be Olympians together.’
