Gorr asks Eternity to revive Love and it’s granted, but he dies from the curse of the Necrosword, though not before asking Thor to take care of his daughter. At the end of Thor: Love and Thunder, Thor is shown living with Love, who accompanies him in his heroic missions as he wields Mjolnir and she wields Stormbreaker, thus becoming the title “Love and Thunder”.

The door is open for Thor’s return aside from his possible appearance in the upcoming crossover events Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars, and after how Thor: Love and Thunder performed with viewers, Thor 5 is more needed than ever. Hemsworth is aware that Love and Thunder didn’t quite work, even though it isn’t his fault, but he can learn key lessons from this experience and from his perspective on what he did wrong, and he definitely deserves the chance to show this in Thor 5.
