The sports world is still buzzing after Sunday’s WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky.

Not only did rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark each produce outstanding performances, but also the entire game was highly entertaining and evenly matched for all 40 minutes.

Caitlin Clark set an Indiana Fever franchise record with 13 assists in the game.

Yet, Clark could have finished with at least 16 assists if her teammate Kelsey Mitchell could have corralled her long passes in transition.

And that’s exactly what made Stephen A. Smith so upset during Monday morning’s segment on “First Take.”

“I want to throw out that that damn bounce pass that Caitlin Clark threw, past half court for crying out loud, when her teammate ultimately missed the layup, I ultimately forgot who it was, oh I was so disgusted,” Smith said on Monday.

Clark is referring to Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell, who failed to come up with three elite passes from Clark on Sunday.

Smith isn’t alone in his sentiment. Mitchell also caught a great deal of criticism from fans for being unable to reel these fantastic passes in.

Considering the Fever lost by one point, the game would have been much different if these plays were made.
