PATRICK Mahomes appeared at the Miami Grand Prix, but an F1 reporter, yet again, misidentified another celebrity as the Kansas City Chiefs star.

The sequence occurred before Sunday’s F1 race at the Miami International Autodrome.

Sky Sports reporter Martin Brindle was on the lookout for interviewing celebrities before the Miami Grand Prix festivities.

However, while on live television, Brindle thought that a VIP on the grid was Mahomes, but the ex-F1 driver was wrong.

“That’s the guy, isn’t it?” Brundle said, looking at a man who was walking by him.

It turned out that the person he thought was Mahomes was Miami Dolphins star linebacker Jaelan Phillips.

Brundle’s mistake was similar to the one he committed at the first grand prix in Miami in 2022.

The 64-year-old thought he was interviewing Mahomes when it was Orlando Magic’s Paulo Banchero.

The moment happened just a few weeks after Banchero was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick by the Magic.

Brundle yelled “Patrick” at Banchero, who didn’t answer, but the TV commentator continued and asked questions until realizing his mistake.

Mahomes went to the Miami Grand Prix.

The three-time Super Bowl MVP was alongside his wife, Brittany.

Mahomes is a shareholder of Alpine and was also seen with his Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce.

They invested in Alpine late last year as part of a new investment group.

“I think everybody can see the appeal,” Mahomes said.

“I’ve been able to get to a couple races now, seeing the environment, and then obviously watching the (Formula 1:) Drive to Survive on Netflix you see how competitive it is.

“Any time you get an opportunity to get in on that, I mean I’m as competitive as anyone can get, so hopefully it can open up to some great opportunities and we are able to go to some of those races and have a little stake in the game.”

The NFL stars weren’t the only big names at the Miami Grand Prix.

They were spotted alongside French soccer legend Zinedine Zidane in the Alpine garage before the race.

New Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. also made the trip to the F1 festivities with singers Camilla Cabello and will.i.am.

And former president Donald Trump appeared on-site at the event.
