Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark isn’t the only rookie making major headlines in the WNBA.

Former LSU Tigers star and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is off to a tremendous start to her professional basketball career, and her play has fans and the media talking.

Reese and Clark battled for the third time this season on Sunday, and Reese picked up her first win against Clark since they met in the 2023 NCAAW National Championship.

Reese recorded 25 points and 16 rebounds during the game, marking her eighth consecutive double-double, the most ever by a WNBA rookie. She also made a pivotal shot with under a minute left to give the Sky the lead.

Even Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon is impressed by Reese. In Aces’ media availability on Monday, Hammon revealed a major change she observed in Reese, noting her shooting transformation.

“Her shooting and her finishing has improved drastically. She’s put in a lot of work,” Hammon told FOX5 News reporter Paloma Villicana, “Her free throws look good. Her form. Everything looks good. She’s doing something right.

Hammon and the Aces are getting ready for a trip to Chicago to face Reese and the Sky on Thursday, June 27, at 7:00 PM EST. This will be the first match between the two teams this season.
