EA Sports has revealed its exclusive “99 club” ahead of the release of the highly anticipated Madden 25 video game.

Few things cause more debate among sports fans and video gamers than player ratings in the EA Sports “Madden NFL” franchise. As fans await the complete list of player ratings for Madden 25, we at least know which ones stand alone in the special 99 club.

The early ratings for the top 100-rated players in Madden 25 have been released, and five players are in the 99 club.

Those players are: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (the cover athlete for this year’s game).

Just missing out on a 99 rating are Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams, Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin and linebacker Micah Parsons. All of those players are rated at 98.

The 97 club for Madden 25 consists of Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey, Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker TJ Watt, Atlanta Falcons safety Jessie Bates III, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, 49ers tight end George Kittle, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa.

Browns running back Nick Chubb, New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner, Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb, Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson and 49ers linebacker Fred Warner were all ranked at 96.

EA Sports Gets It Right For Madden 25 “99 Club”

As stated above, there’s going to be plenty of debate about the early ratings for Madden 25. But in regards to the 99 club, it’s hard to disagree with any of the developers’ choices here.

Mahomes, McCaffrey, Jefferson and Kelce are by far the league’s best player at their respective positions. Hill has put up all-world numbers since joining Miami in 2022, and he too is as close to a “100” rating as it gets.

Remember, EA Sports developers will change the ratings throughout the course of the regular season. So the likes of Jackson, Parsons and Martin can still push their ratings to the highest one possible if they got off to stong starts in 2024.
