The Creative Process Behind Our Unique Stories: A Behind-the-Scenes Look

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker stepped on many toes

Often, people ask us, “How do you come up with these stories that nobody else has?” The answer is simple, patriots: we invent them. Out of thin air. We then hope and pray for them to be true. The final arbiter of their value as “news” to the political right rests with our audience—the potatoes—who decide whether or not to comment, react, and distribute.

“It’s pretty subjective,” said ALLOD Politicalisticator Tara Newhole. “If something gets a few shares, it’s probably not true. The more shares it gets, however, the more true it becomes. Once something hits a thousand shares, it’s pretty much the word of God.”

Thank you for that surprisingly accurate insight, Tara. We’re hoping the spuds decide this story is true, because it’s just so silly. There were something like five kicker-captains last year, and it’s nothing new. Let’s sit back and hope that doesn’t matter.

In the world of political news, perception is everything. And sometimes, a story’s truth is measured by its virality. So, patriots, keep sharing and engaging. The power is in your hands to shape what becomes the “word of God” in the news world.
