Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky were not going to be denied for a win Sunday at home versus the visiting Indiana Fever. Reese helped Chicago score an 88-87 win over Caitlin Clark and the Fever with an astounding performance, as she collected 25 points and 16 rebounds. With that performance, Reese became just the third player ever in WNBA history to notch at least eight double-doubles in a row.

In other words, Reese outplayed Clark, who had a solid performance herself but still got overshadowed by the former LSU Tigers star. In addition to her double-double, Reese also boasts of having the best plus/minus this season among all rookie regular starters, per StatMamba.

So far in the 2024 WNBA season, Reese is 29th overall in the league with a plus-33. That’s way better than Clark’s minus-100, which is good for 139th in the league to date.

It is important to note, though, that the plus/minus stat isn’t the ultimate barometer of how good a player is or isn’t. Nevertheless, it helps paint a good idea about how a player impacts a game when she’s on the floor. For what it’s worth, Reese was a plus-7 on Sunday, while Clark (17 points, 13 assists, six rebounds, four steals) was a minus-1.
