Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese found herself in an interesting situation with Indiana Fever guard Erica Wheeler on Sunday. Reese was being pinned to the corner of the court, almost being dragged out of the dotted lines, leaving fans wondering what happened between the two.

While it seemed like an off-ball foul, the officiating crew let the play carry on. Wheeler was face-guarding Reese on the offensive end, taking boxing out to a completely different level,

Besides the strange interaction with Wheeler, Reese and the Sky played a clean game, with the rookie posting 25 points and 16 rebounds during the Sky’s 88-87 victory over Caitlin Clark and the Fever.

Her exchange with Wheeler was taken a bit out of context, but it was a precautionary play for the Fever, keeping one of the best rebounding players in the league outside of the paint.

The Sky have back-to-back wins and are up to fourth in the Eastern Conference standings. Reese continues to break records, many of which are in the rebounding category.

Reese is the only first-year player averaging a double-double, and she’s recorded a WNBA record eight straight double-doubles in her rookie season.
