Breanna Stewart on the Fever-Liberty pre-game walkthroughBreanna Stewart on the Fever-Liberty pre-game walkthrough

Breanna Stewart donned a blue pinstripe suit entering the arena for New York Liberty’s game against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. She complemented her pre-game style with a touch of a Christian Dior bag worth $1,496 (via Buyma).

Stewart also paired her suit with black-outlined glasses and what seemed to be black and white military shoes.

The two-time MVP even paused for a moment to pose in the runaway as photographers rushed to capture her.

Based on the video posted by the WNBA, the walkway entering the Barclays Center, which is the venue of the Fever-Liberty matchup, resembled a fashion runway with other players showing off their pre-game outfits.

While others flaunted their outfits, Fever’s Caitlin Clark rocked just a tank top and pink pants for her highly anticipated debut in New York.

Considering the venue and the stars playing, the game is expected to sell out after attracting 17,247 people in Indiana.

Breanna Stewart dominated the show in Caitlin Clark’s home debut

Breanna Stewart put down the clamps on Caitlin Clark in their first meeting two days ago, spoiling the rookie’s WNBA home debut. The veteran Stewart made Clark look every bit the rookie she is, as the Fever star was riddled with fouls for almost the entire game.

Stewart had 31 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists to lift the New York Liberty over Clark’s Fever in the home opener, 102-66. It was a total display of dominance for Liberty as the still-rebuilding fever proved unmatched. Clark just had nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists, including 10 turnovers.

The Fever tasted their second defeat in as many games, while Liberty is undefeated in two games so far.

Stewart was at the forefront of Liberty’s early-season surge, helping New York build sizeable runs throughout the game and dump Fever, who was visibly frustrated with the loss.

While the Fever sparked a 12-0 comeback led by Clark, Stewart’s Liberty, the reigning Eastern Conference champions, were just too much for the young team to handle.

Breanna Stewart and Caitlin Clark will be an intriguing matchup, not just for this season but for the rest of their careers.
