Kate Martin Reveals Why Her Las Vegas Aces Teammates Can’t Trust Her

Kate Martin has been right at home with the Las Vegas Aces.

During Wednesday’s 80-66 win over the Minnesota Lynx, Martin came off the bench for Las Vegas and scored 9 points (all of which came by way of three-pointer) in 21 minutes.

Martin also made waves before the game began, as she was seen entering the court wearing a pink Hello Kitty backpack.

This is apparently a rite of passage for Aces rookies, who must wear a backpack of their teammates’ choosing during road trips throughout their first year.

So while the Aces could trust Martin to wear this backpack, they can’t trust her with another pregame routine.

During a pregame rapid fire Q&A that was posted on YouTube, martin was asked by a reporter, “Who wouldn’t you trust with the AUX cord?”

Martin laughed, then said, “Oh gosh, I feel like people would say me. Because I was listening to old school music and they didn’t like it at all. So, I guess myself.”

Martin also noted how her pregame music choices are Fleetwood Mac and ‘Edge of Seventeen’ by Stevie Nicks.

Apparently the other Aces players aren’t Fleetwood Mac fans.
