Two-time WNBA All-Star Dearica Hamby of the LA Sparks celebrated the Jordan Tatum 2 PE sneakers by her kids with a touching message she shared on social media platform X.

The 30-year-old veteran wore the Tatum 2 that featured their purple and black colors in their road game against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday. The shoes also had the names of her children, Amaya and Legend, inscribed on them.

Dearica Hamby took to X to celebrate the customized sneakers and had a heartfelt message to her children,

“You have grown, and just like a floweer you will bloom,. My little motivations.”

Dearica Hamby had a great play while rocking the Jordan Tatum 2 PE sneakers inspired by her kids against Caitlin Clark and the Fever, helping her team to the 88-82 victory.

She finished with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with five assists and two steals, in 40 minutes of play.

The win was the second for the Sparks in six games so far this season.

LA Sparks rookie Cameron Brink is grateful for support from veteran Dearica Hamby

Much like how she guides her children, Dearica Hamby is doing the same to LA Sparks rookie Cameron Brink as she works her way around the WNBA. It is something that the Stanford standout is very grateful for.

The second overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, Brink claims to be in a learning phase, thanks to the support she is getting from her veterans like Hambry, whom she considers a second mom.

Speaking to The Sporting Tribune right before the WNBA started, the 22-year-old forward-center spoke of her relationship with Dearica Hamby,

“She’s like my second mom already…. She has given me a lot of advice. One is not let anyone see me cry. She also said just enjoy it and lean on your vets.”

Brink is counted as a promising asset to help Hamby and the rest of the LA Sparks improve on their 17-23 record last season, where they finished ninth overall and missed out on the playoffs.

In the ongoing season, Brink is averaging 9.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, three blocks (team-high) and 1.2 steals in 25 minutes.

Hamby, meanwhile, has been leading the charge with 20 points, 12.7 rebounds, four assists and 1.3 steals in 37 minutes of play.

The Sparks are currently sporting a 2-4 record and is set to next play on Thursday against the Chicago Sky (2-3) in Wintrust Arena in the Windy City.
