Indiana Fever v Seattle Storm

Caitlin Clark’s response to a question about vets’ advice leaves WNBA fans fuming

WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark was the star the league had been waiting for almost a decade. Her arrival boosted ticket sales and TV ratings, a much-needed and happy change for the league.

Clark has been in the spotlight in her rookie season with the Fever where every eye has been on her at all times but being in the spotlight has seemingly come at a cost for the star. In an interview, Clark was asked about any advice she has received from the veterans and the response has WNBA fans fuming.

Clark revealed that she has not received any advice in games from anyone but wished someone did. The fans flooded the comments sections on social media to express their reaction to Clark’s response.

“Whole time it was the women hating on her.”

Other fans joined the fray and expressed similar opinions.

“Women hating on other women nothing new,” @LethalPasquale said.

“Why are females such haters lmao this why their league won’t go nowhere,” @ZenChoZen said.

“They praying on her downfall,” @JuniorGotNext said.

While most fans shared similar opinions on the other players hating on Clark, some fans tried to take a logical approach and explain the reason behind Clark receiving no advice.

“With all due respect I don’t think the opposing players care to give advice during games. Maybe try after the game is over?” @AryehRE said.

“She’s on an island. That is what happens when they anoint you queen before you ever take a professional shot. It is going to be a long road for her. Maybe ESPN should tone down the hype train a bit and just let her game speak for itself,” @diamonhanddegn said.

Caitlin Clark achieves another milestone in the WNBA

Caitlin Clark has achieved yet another milestone since her debut in the league. The Indiana Fever rookie star became the fastest to 300 points, 100 assists, and 100 rebounds.

Despite her record-setting night in her team’s loss against the Seattle Storm, Fever coach Christie Sides expects more from the rookie.

“Caitlin Clark needs to shoot a minimum of 15 shots a game for us,” Sides said. “She has got to get shots, and we’ve got to do a better job of setting her up, setting some really good screens for her to get her open.”

Clark is averaging 16.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists this season for the Fever, who are with an underwhelming 7-12 record this season.
