The NCAA tournament hasn’t come without some laughs, but Friday’s first-round contest between the Baylor Bears and UC Santa Barbara Gauchos in Denver was perhaps the one bearing the funniest to date.

The moment came when Bears player Dale Bonner was checking into the game with his jersey inside out.

Bonner was entering the game as a first-half substitute and was about to take to the floor with a strange jersey reading ROLYAB instead of BAYLOR. He did not notice the gaffe until the officials put a pause on proceedings to let him know.

Bonner got himself sorted out while everyone else stood by waiting.

The commentators were sure to mention it too, chalking the error down to March Madness jitters.

While the tournament is known for its shocking upsets, this one came a little differently. Fortunately for the Bears, there were no other shocks as, despite struggling in the second half, they were able to win comfortably with a 74-56 result.

As far as wardrobe malfunctions go, it could have been a lot worse for Bonner given his name. That’s all we’re going to say about that…
