Bucks guard weighs in on the Caitlin Clark - Victoria Vivians altercationBucks guard weighs in on the Caitlin Clark – Victoria Vivians altercation

The Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley has weighed in his thoughts on the recent altercation of Caitlin Clark and Victoria Vivians in the Indiana Fever vs Seattle Storm Game. The duo had a brief coming together during Thursday’s game.

Beverley retweeted a video of the WNBA stars having a fiery exchange and accompanied it with a caption that said:

“Competition, Luv It.”

In the video, Caitlin Clark can be seen taking the first approach with an aggressive attitude to confront Vivians for something she said in the second quarter. The Storm star didn’t back down, she responded to Clark’s advances with more words.

The Fever rookie was immediately separated from any further happening by her teammate Aliyah Boston. The official arrived at the scene and issued technical fouls for both the players involved in the altercation.

The three-time All-Defensive NBA guard is a fierce competitor himself and it isn’t surprising seeing him enjoy a minor squabble in the WNBA. Unfortunately for Clark, her team was handed their eighth loss of the season as Vivians and the Seattle Storm defeated them with a final score of 88-103.

Patrick Beverley lists Caitlin Clark in his prestigious list

In an episode of his podcast, Bucks guard Patrick Beverley shared a list of basketball players that he believed have pushed the game forward the most. He featured Caitlin Clark in this list and now his statements are going viral on social media platforms. He started his list with NBA legend Magic Johnson at the very top. Following him was Michael Jordan who needs little explanation.

Pat Bev was troubled with the third spot confused between LeBron James and Steph Curry. Ultimately he went with King James for the contributions of the Lakers star for other basketball players off the court. He then shifted his focus to the WNBA where he listed Caitlin Clark as the fourth entry on his list followed by Candace Parker in fifth.

“What Caitlin Clark has done with female basketball, she’s pushed the envelope. They’re flying charter already. They’re making it known, you got this stardom coming in, you got to take care of the WNBA,” Beverley said.

He credited Clark for the rise of the WNBA and bringing in the viewership they have desired for a long time. Clark’s entry sparked debates about her being worthy enough to be above other legendary WNBA players in the list but there is no denying that in her short career, she has had a positive impact on the league’s popularity.
