Colman Domingo is set to join the growing cast of Netflix’s upcoming series “The Four Seasons.’ Domingo will join Tina Fey and Steve Carell in the series, which is a modern take on the 1981 film of the same name.

The series follows three couples who vacation together every season but whose worlds are upended when one of them divorces. While details about Domingo’s character remain tightly under wraps, it’s confirmed that he will be a series regular.

“The Four Seasons” series, which was first unveiled in January with an eight-episode order, is gearing up for production later this year. The project, spearheaded by Universal Television and Fey’s production company Little Stranger, Inc., boasts a stellar lineup of executive producers, including Fey herself alongside heavyweights like Martin Bregman and Alan Alda.

The original 80s film was written and directed by Alan Alda and starred Alda, Carol Burnett, and Rita Moreno.

Domingo’s latest role comes on the heels of his critically acclaimed performance as civil rights activist Bayard Rustin in Netflix’s “Rustin,” directed by George C. Wolfe. His upcoming projects, include the prison drama “Sing Sing” and the Netflix limited series “The Madness.”

For fans of Carell and Fey, “The Four Seasons” marks a reunion of sorts, as the duo previously shared the screen in the hit comedy “Date Night.” Additionally its Carell’s return to Netflix, following his stint in the comedy series “Space Force.”
