Haley Cavinder will not be playing for Texas Christian University after all.

The college basketball star, who left the NCAA to pursue a career in professional wrestling, announced a return to the sport last year, committing to TCU. However, she has opted to play elsewhere following Hailey Van Lith’s decision to represent the Horned Frogs after a year at Louisiana State University.

Van Lith entered the transfer portal after the Tigers were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament and announced her intention to play for TCU this week. Fans were pretty excited about the prospect of Hailey & Haley in the Horned Frogs’ locker room, but that’s now off the table as the latter has opted to play elsewhere.

Cavinder’s decision has nothing to do with Van Lith, though. It’s all about joining her sister, who recently decided to return to the University of Miami, where they starred for a year before choosing to pursue careers with WWE.

With Hanna Cavinder announcing her return to the Hurricanes, Haley has decided to join her twin sister at Miami U for their fifth and final year of eligibility.

Given the news yesterday that my sister was returning to play ball at Miami and after careful consideration and thought I’ve decided to return to the University of Miami and play with Hanna for our final and 5th year,” she shared in a social media post on Thursday.

There is nothing more important than family and the bond I share with my Twin sister. Being presented with the opportunity to play together one more time is something I cannot pass up. I am excited for this upcoming season and cant wait to play at the U.

Haley Cavinder And Her Sister Have Several Nil Contracts

Haley Cavinder and her sister Hanna have multiple NIL deals. They signed one with WWE a few years ago and decided to become pro wrestlers last year, spending time training with the promotion.

We aren’t sure how things went for them behind the scenes, but they are yet to make their debuts in the ring.

The twins played their first three seasons with Fresno State before transferring to Miami for the 2022-23 season. While Haley was a regular starter, Hanna came off the bench, playing just 16.6 minutes per game.
