The Front Room Brandy Norwood

A24 is gearing up for an exciting late third and fourth quarter with the announcement of release dates for five upcoming projects.

Leading the pack is “The Front Room,” a psychological horror film directed by the Eggers Brothers, scheduled for a wide release on September 6. They adapted the screenplay from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name.

“The Front Room” follows a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family. Brandy Norwood stars opposite Kathryn Hunter (“The Tragedy of Macbeth”), Andrew Burnap (“Under the Banner of Heaven”), and Neal Huff (“Spotlight”). A24 is producing the film alongside Lucan Toh, Babak Anvari and Bryan Sonderman of Two & Two Pictures and Julia Oh and David Hinojosa of 2AM.

Joining “The Front Room” on the theatrical lineup are four other diverse and intriguing projects:

– “A Different Man,” directed by Aaron Schimberg and starring Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve, and Adam Pearson, is set for limited release on September 20. This thought-provoking film explores themes of identity and obsession as its protagonist undergoes a radical transformation.

– Director John Crowley’s “We Live in Time,” featuring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, will hit limited theaters on October 11. This poignant romance follows the transformative journey of an up-and-coming chef whose life takes an unexpected turn.

– “Heretic,” a horror thriller from writer/directors Scott Beck and Bryan Wood, is slated for wide release on November 15. Hugh Grant, Chloe East, and Sophie Thatcher star in this gripping tale of two missionaries caught in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse.

– Closing out the lineup is “Babygirl,” an erotic thriller directed by Halina Reijn, scheduled for release on December 20. With Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson, Antonia Banderas, and Sophie Wilde in starring roles, this film explores the risks and passions of a forbidden affair.

With an eclectic mix of genres and talent, A24 continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences with its innovative storytelling.
