Caitlin Clark Makes WNBA History Against Atlanta Dream

The red-hot Indiana Fever played the Atlanta Dream in a WNBA Eastern Conference clash on Friday. This was their second meeting in eight days. The Fever won the first game on June 13, which sparked a three-game winning streak for Indiana.

Midway through the first quarter of Friday’s game, Fever rookie Caitlin Clark made WNBA history once again after she was credited with an assist on guard Kristy Wallace’s 3-pointer. She tied WNBA and Seattle Storm legend Sue Bird as the third fastest player ever in the league to reach 100 career assists.

Bird is one of the greatest women’s basketball players of all time, so any achievement at her level is remarkable.

The former Iowa Hawkeyes star has been making history to start her WNBA career with her performances and the viewership she attracts. This is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
