The Kansas City Police Department is no match for the Swifties.

Ahead of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday, the City Manager of Kansas City “hinted” that he already told Taylor Swift’s representatives that the city is not equipped to handle the extra traffic the mega popstar’s attendance may bring should she choose to be alongside boyfriend Travis Kelce.

“I can’t confirm or deny but we might have already told that to her team, just to keep everybody safe and make things a little bit easier for us,” said Platt, according to KCUR.

With Swift’s Eras Tour resuming Friday in Australia, it’s possible that Swift could continue the celebration with Kelce and join him for the Chiefs’ third parade in five seasons.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Last year’s event drew close to 1 million attendees, per KCUR, but that number will likely spike since some will come with the hope that Swift attends.

Platt even suggested to KCUR that some fans may start lining up Tuesday.

However, while that would certainly please plenty of Swifties, the logistics of such an appearance in such a short manner would provide some additional challenges.

“That’s gonna be a whole second level of security issues that we have to deal with — the crowds and all that sort of thing,” Platt told KCUR.

“So we are more than ready. We have no concerns with our safety protocols and what we’re doing to make sure that the route will be free of any issues.”

KCUR reported that Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said the city will have at least 600 police officers working the parade route, along with other law enforcement agencies and EMS.

Last year’s Super Bowl parade cost Kansas City $200,400 in overtime pay for the police, per KCUR.
