WNBA fans call out Caitlin Clark detractor for mocking her
Caitlin Clark is one of the biggest stars in the WNBA right now and she has already seen her fair share of controversies. The most recent one being her altercation with the Chicago Sky star Chennedy Carter.
The Sky guard had shoved Clark in the back with a shoulder charge when the ball was not in play and the incident blew up.
Carter was even bombarded with troll comments and suddenly found herself amidst a lot of criticism from fans. When the star rookie was asked about all the heat on social media concerning the Carter incident, the Indiana Fever star answered it with class.
“I am not on social media, so I don’t see a lot of it,” Clark said.
However, one fan was not pleased with Clark’s response and listed down three reasons why he thought the Fever rookie was lying.
Her response to the matter has the WNBA fans rallying behind her and criticizing her detractor who made a post on X accusing Caitlin Clark of lying.
One fan blamed the detractor for making the situation seem like the Indiana star was the one who committed the hard foul.
“You act she one that did the blindsiding.”
Other fans also rallied their support for Clark in the comments section.
“She deleted social media off her phone in her last season in college,” @lilkasperss said.
“Her response is basically perfect,” @jasoncrouch said.
“She answers perfectly they should all be trained to focus on work and not get involved in your gossip,” @Dangerbug said.
While most of the fans were positive in their support for Clark, some fans were shocked to know the Fever rookie didn’t have social media.
“She didn’t say she didn’t have social media,” @BlackBlessedLDS said.
“She’s weak.”
Caitlin Clark’s response reveals that she knows how to stay away from gossip and focus on improving herself and her career.
