TRAVIS Kelce has been showered with praise by his fellow star NFL star David Njoku after taking part in a charity event.

Kelce was at Njoku’s softball charity match over the weekend, meeting and greeting children.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar certainly did his bit for the tight ends club and it went down extremely well with Cleveland Browns man Njoku.

“He is one of the purest human beings I have ever met in my life,” Njoku told reporters.

“Always means well. Just a great overall dude.”

Kelce, who is a baseball lover and starred as a player in high school, appeared at the game on Saturday.

A number of Njoku’s teammates were also there, including Myles Garrett, Nick Chubb, Deshaun Watson, and Amari Cooper.

The event took place at Classic Park in Eastlake, a suburb of Cleveland in Ohio.

Kelce was seen chatting to a number of thrilled children during the day in his home town.

He even won the home run derby before the charity contest, connecting on his final swing before sending another ball over the fence to clinch the win.

That moment sent fans into a frenzy, in what was a thoroughly wholesome and enjoyable day all round.

Kelce has enjoyed something of a dream 2024 so far.

It began with his all-conquering Chiefs team sealing more Super Bowl glory.

They won their third Super Bowl in five seasons, creating the NFL’s newest dynasty.

They were losing to the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas, but rallied back for a 25-22 win in overtime.

He was watched from the stands by singing icon Taylor Swift that night.

‘Well-talked-about personal life’

Travis Kelce was asked about his relationship with Taylor Swift during an interview with Good Morning America.

But the Kansas City Chiefs tight end gave a cagey response.

“When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” Kelce told GMA.

“I’ve always been a very grounded guy. It might not come off that way when I’m playing football.

“But off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road.

“Because you never know what opportunities are going to present themselves.”

Their blossoming romance dominated the headlines during the last NFL season and has continued to do so since.

Kelce has spent as much time with Swift as possible, even joining her on her current world tour.

He also recently joined the rest of his Chiefs teammates at the White House, where they were welcomed by President Biden.

And he regularly causes a stir when appearing with brother Jason, who retired from the NFL earlier this year, on their “New Heights” podcast.

The Chiefs will aim for an historic three-peat of Super Bowls in the 2024 season.

They will kick off their campaign against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5.
