Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever suffered another loss to the Connecticut Sun this Monday following a win over the Washington Mystics over the weekend.

The Fever are now 10-3 following their first 13 games this season.

The first half of the 89-72 loss saw Connecticut shooting guard DiJonai Carrington called for a foul on Clark. Carrington disagreed with the call and remonstrated by mocking the former Iowa star, mimicking her flopping gesture to the referees.

According to OutKick’s Dan Zaksheske, who was in attendance, the home fans at the Mohegan Sun Arena booed the Suns guard.

“Wow, Sun guard Dijonai Carrington just fouled Caitlin Clark, then made a gesture like she thought Clark exaggerated the foul and the home crowd BOOED Carrington,” Zaksheske tweeted.

You can see the incident leading to the boos below:

“Clark should resign and wait till the league gets on its knees and begs her back,” a fan commented.

As shown above, Carrington didn’t appear troubled. She ended the game with 22 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

DiJonai Carrington Joked About Her Flopping Jest After The Game

The former Baylor standout is averaging 12.8 points and 5.1 rebounds this season. She made light of Monday’s incident on social media with the following tweet.

Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark is averaging 16.3 points in her first WNBA season. She scored 10 points against the Sun on Monday.

The two-time College Player of the Year reportedly told Fever head coach Christie Sides her recent Olympic Games snub “woke a monster” and erupted for 30 points against Washington on the weekend.

However, she could not replicate the performance or help her team avoid a third loss to the Sun for the season.
